Late Night Temple Runs

 Hey Everyone,

We have been doing well and working really hard.  We are currently teaching a family of 5, another family of 4 from Venezuela, and a couple other people.  I continue to have incredible experiences every day here with my pueblo Cruz del Sur, but here are a few highlights of this week:

1) On Monday we got to go to the Temple with 2 of my converts Anita and Fadiles.  They got baptized 2 weeks apart, met each other at church, and are now best friends, strengthening and encouraging each other in the gospel.

2) Had a very powerful baptismal interview with my friend Noberto who recently had problems in his marriage and as a result lost his house, job, children, etc.  He has lost everything, but by choosing to be baptized, in reality, has found everything.  (Jacob 2:8)

3) Saturday night we went to the temple with our family from Venezuela.  We were really late and got to the temple after the last tour, but thanks to an old friend from Valle Hermoso we got to go in after it closed for a private tour.  Of the 10,300 people who passed through the temple on Saturday, we were the only ones in the building.  There is no better feeling than in the temple, seeing a family, who has struggled so much and faced so many challenges in their country, with tears rolling down their face, feeling the peace and joy that comes from knowing that families can be together forever.

These are the 2 most important years of my life, every second of every day dedicated to bringing lost souls unto Christ.  And what a blessing it is.

"Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise." (2 Nephi 2: 8)
